Fiction and Audiobooks

I have now completed 2 complete works on my Podcast Opera Vox Audiobooks, The Phantom of the Opera and David Copperfield.  I am about to embark on a production of Tess of the D’Urbevilles by Thomas Hardy and hope you can join me on this journey.  You can also click on links to listen on Spotify, Apple Podcasts or many other podcast platforms. Please leave feedback and rate my podcast, this helps to get the word out to others who might enjoy hearing these classic books. Thanks for listening.

This section of my blog is devoted to fiction – reading, writing, and perhaps most important narrating.  I have received so many emails, comments and thank yous for my audiobook recordings that I have decided to devote more time to this endeavour.  Complete unabridged recordings of The Count of Monte Cristo by Dumas and the Sherlock Holmes canon can be found on Librivox.  David Clarke on Librivox

  1. Oh, David – Welcome Back! So happy you decided to return to reading.

For my part, Phantom of the Opera is an Excellent choice. I’ve not read it before! Listening to the first episode I’m hooked! Marvelous! Thank you!

      1. Hi David. I’ve come here for one purpose only: to say thank you. Your narration of the Sherlock Holmes novels is amazing! I have ADHD and can’t concentrate on audiobooks. I’d almost lost hope when I found your versions of the books and it inspired me to listen to them all and research and learn about their whole world. And of course, to find you and thank you. I hope you will keep narrating audiobooks!

        Warmest regards,

      2. Hi there – glad you enjoyed them so much – I don’t know if you noticed on this site but there are links to my audiobook podcast where I am continuing to add to the library of books I narrate 😄

  2. Hi David, I’m very excited to hear about your podcast. Your Sherlock Holmes is still often heard in my home. Some suggestions from my wife and me:
Anything by George Orwell, H.G. Wells, or Virginia Wolfe.
    Take care!

  3. Hello David,
A big big thank you for reading the Count of Monte Cristo. Your narration was too perfect, and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to you. I am in my early 20s and it is your recording which I am gonna play to my kids, whenever they come in my life 🙂

Thankyou again, lots of love and respect from India!
