Fiction and Audiobooks

I have now returned from our trip to Europe and have settled on a new and what I believe will be an exciting addition to my Opera Vox library of audiobooks.  For Season 5 Keep and eye out for notifications on your chosen podcast app as I begin to read ‘The Arabian Nights’ by Muhsin Mahdi.  This wonderful collection of stories within stories as part of an overarching plot is a new departure for me and I hope you enjoy it as much as I am going to enjoy narrating.

Hi David. I just finished your recordings of The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. I just want to congratulate you. I have never been a big fan of the Livribox recordings to be honest, because as well intentioned that they are they don’t have the same flavor as the profesional ones. But yours are. I am amazed and grateful that you did this book, because not only have I change my mind about Livribox, but I also will look for more audiobooks of yours.

Hi David, I thought you might like to know that part 2 of The Singular Experience of Mr John Scott Eccles has not been included in your recording of His Last Bow. Thanks David

Thanks – I have sent the person who managed the recording a message to get this sorted out – I definitely recorded it and it says it is there in the catalog

      Thanks

      Hi John

Just got this back from them

I downloaded the zip file from archive.org and find all 10 sections as per the MW included. The only item I noticed in section 2 is the omission in the intro that section 2 (The Tiger of San Pedro) is actually chapter 2 of Wisteria Lodge.
It could be possible that your listener did not get a complete download if he (or she) does not have all the chapters.

Dear David, A moment ago I just finished listening to The Count of Monte Cristo and for the last month have been mesmerized and captivated by the story, the characters, and the historical times that were so rich and real that it will stay with me for awhile. Your reading and interpretation brought it to life. I am an avid reader and read this novel in college, however your very special rendition of this incredible novel was amazing. Thanks to you and to Alexandre Dumas for an unforgettable story. I love LibriVox and am a fan and have followed my favorite readers, like Karen Savage, Elizabeth Klett ,Simon Evers and Andy Minter but you are at the top of the list ! I will be listening to your Sherlock next. Have you thought of doing more Dumas? It would be such a pleasure listening to you read ‘The Three Musketeers’ and ‘The Man in the Iron Mask’. Thank you again for your work. Mary
